This year's event location was Evelyn M. Schiffler Memorial Park in Beaverton, Oregon, with the proceeds of the registration fees, raffle drawings, auction, and donations going to North Oregon Regional Search and Rescue (NORSAR).
Set-up for the event occurred between 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Registration started at 9:00 a.m. for participants who did not pre-register via the club' website.
The trot began at 10:00 a.m. with 26 people and 27 Cairns walking the designated route through the park and surrounding community streets.
Upon conclusion of the walk, the following activities occurred:
- Pooper Scooper Contest
- Pin the Tail on the Cairn Contest
- Toto Trot Costume Contest
- Picture with Dorothy opportunities
- Silent Auction
- Raffle Drawings
- Group photo taken
- Refreshments
This year' event attracted both CRCTC members and non-member participants, with the majority coming from the Portland and surrounding areas including Southwest Washington; however, it also attracted participants from Bainbridge Island, Washington and from New York City, New York.
On October 7, 2014, NORSAR representatives spoke about their organization at the CRCTC General Meeting and fielded questions from those in attendance at the meeting. NORSAR was presented with a $600.00 check from CRCTC.
