At the April 4th club meeting, Dan Mata gave an excellent overview of NASDA - the North American Sport Dog Association.
This is a relatively new activity that is rapidly gaining steam in this part of the country, and putting on trials in nearby areas. The trials are designed to resemble working and competitive fieldwork in 3 areas:
1. Trailing & Location - rats in quarry boxes in open field, forests etc.
2. Urban locating - rats in quarry boxes in barns, warehouses etc.
3. Shed dog - locating and/or retrieving in open fields.
There are several levels and titles that Dan talked about. He discussed the point table and deductions.
More information can be found on the NASDA website: www.nasda.dog.
