    Club Updates - May

Listed below are Club updates for May which may be of interest:

Note from Tom: Item left at Eye Clinic

A 'parachute' branded bag (printed on one side of the bag) with 'comfy things inside' on the other was left at the Quarles house the day of the eye clinic. It contained an assortment of poop bags. If it is yours, and you want it back, contact Tom (tquarles@ix.netcom.com.) If not claimed, it will be added to the garage sale items in August.

    June Specialty

Ilene reports: We are in good shape. Premiums for our specialty Friday June 21 and Clackamas KC Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23 are now available on BaRay (www.barayevents.com ). There will be a lunch on Friday which will include  barbecue chicken, salad, corn, dessert for $20. You can register and pay on our website or make checks payable to CRCTC and send to Vicky Montgomery. There will be a complimentary lite breakfast. Ilene has been approached by several club members about a Saturday dinner. She has made reservations at The Old Spaghetti Factory Clackamas for Saturday June 22. It will be order off the menu. Sign-up will be on on Friday at the Specialty.

    AKC FIT Dog Spring Scurry

Participation in this activity as a club event is canceled. No dates were available that worked for those members who had voiced an interest. You can still participate individually or get together with others. Here is a link to the walk information.

    Correspondence received:  Oncotect

Correspondence was received from the Community Outreach Manager for Oncotect (the world's first home cancer screening test tailored for dogs). Given our breed's lower incidence and propensity for cancer, the Board felt it didn't make sense for us to have a specific relationship between the club and Oncotect at this time. But the Board felt strongly that the membership should be informed of this service so it can be used individually if/as desired. The website is www.Oncotect.co  (note it is .co not .com)

    Brags

Members in attendance (physically or via conference line) at meetings can share brags about their dogs. But don't forget you can post a brag at any time on the website. And you can see others' brags as well. Here is the link to do both/either.
