We would like to connect with every Cairn Terrier in the greater Portland/Vancouver area. Please join us!

9:00 - 9:30  AM  Registration and Sign-in. Donations this year benefit The Pongo Fund, Oregon’s only full-time charity fighting animal hunger. 

9:30 AM Toto Trot. Stay on the lake path to complete a shorter 0.8 mile walk, or complete the full 1.5 mile walk by following the path through Foothill Park and back to the lake.

Cairns and Community.  Get to know our club members and learn more about your Cairn Terrier or the Cairn breed on this enjoyable group walk. Help a worthy local charity at the same time. Won't you spend an hour walking for Cairns and community?

Pre-registration is encouraged — use the online form below to register today. You can register to participate in the walk or use the registration fee to support Toto Trot as a donation.

Toto Trot is Columbia River Cairn Terrier Club's way to offer support to a dog-related aspect of our local community. This year proceeds will benefit the Pongo Fund. The Pongo Fund helps people by helping their pets.

Who Can Participate in the Walk?

You can. While we hope to meet every Cairn Terrier in the area and our focus as a specialty club is the Cairn Terrier, well-behaved non-Cairn on-leash dogs with attentive dog-wise owners may register to join the Toto Trot and we appreciate your support!

If your dog may not mix comfortably with a large number of small terriers we welcome your financial support in terms of a donation instead. 

If you would like to support our event and walk without a dog you are welcome to register and walk with us. Learn about the Cairn Terrier from our knowledgable and enthusiastic members. We love to talk Cairns!

Earning a title while getting exercise with your dog? This walk qualifies for AKC Fit Dog.

Location and Route

Commonwealth Lake Park
Foothill Drive @ Dellwood Ave

Our route begins at the Commonwealth Lake Trail at the West end of the park at the junction of Foothill Drive and Dellwood Avenue. There is street parking only (please be considerate of Park neighbors).

If GPS mapping your route to the site, be aware that the park address is generally listed as either SW Foothill and SW Huntington or SW Butner and SW Huntington (the East end of the park). However for easier neighborhood parking we recommend parking near the West entrance of the park, as shown in the satellite view showing the Toto Trot path and in the linked map. 

The short walk shown in orange circles the lake while the longer route shown in red adds a segment through the wooded Foothill Park, left on Alcott, and back along Lanewood to complete the loop along the back side of the lake.

Commonwealth Lake Park features abundant wildlife habitat therefore all dogs must be on leash and under control at all times.
