Club News and Updates - February

Hello CRCTC Members! Listed below are February updates on activities that may be of interest. No Club Meeting in February The club meeting on February 6th has been cancelled due to insufficient agenda items to warrant a meeting. The next meeting will be Tuesday March 5th. Title Recognition - Submission Deadline: February 28th Deadline for submission of application and documents for title recognition is 2/28/24. If you and your dog(s) earned a title in 2023, you can submit the application for a title tag or bag. Find all the information and the application via this link. Submissions and questions should be directed to Betsy (happismom@yahoo.com) 20 Year Club Anniversary Celebration - Planning Date has been chosen - mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24th; 11:00 am. Locations are being investigated. The committee is looking into selling 20th anniversary clothing and accessories (i.e. totes, aprons, etc.) in advance of the celebration. More info on that will be coming out soon. The committee really wants your club event photos from significant, fun, or of interest club events (e.g. win and event photos); in particular those from the last 10 years. Please take some time to look through your photos. Your selections may be included in the CRCTC 20 year anniversary video (depending on the volume of submissions!). Photos can be emailed to Debbie (dablanchard@comcast.net). If you have more than a few, let Debbie know and another method of exchange can be setup. Deadline for photo submission is April 15th. The committee is also looking for ideas for music to accompany the video. A group photo is planned for club members attending the March club meeting. The picture will be included in the 20th anniversary video. Members unable to attend the March meeting can email an individual picture (prefer head shot) to Debbie (dablanchard@comcast.net). The pictures will be included in a collage in the video. It would be great to 'see' all of you! January Designated Specialty There will be a debrief at the March club meeting. If you can't attend the meeting and have thoughts to share about the designated specialty, please send your thoughts to Ilene (kaplani@union.edu) or me so we can share them during the debrief discussion. June Specialty The AKC has approved the Club's application for its Specialty in June (6/21). A change in the AKC regulations now allows us to split the Bred-By-Exhibitor class into Bred-By Exhibitor Puppy (6-12 months) and Bred-By-Exhibitor Adult (older than 12 months), for both dog and bitch classes. The Board approved offering these classes at our designated and independent specialties beginning in June. Sweepstakes Judge Suggestions Suggestions for sweepstakes judges are needed. Please send your suggestions to Judges Selection Committee Chair - Anne Dove (annedove@me.com) to to me. Peggy Appel, secretary

Again, we thank judges, club members and all exhibitors for making Rose City the success it has been.
  24. Updated information: TAO will start at 3:00 pm today (Wednesday 1/17). The TAO original start time was 9AM. And for the Tualatin KC show on Thursday all judging times will be delayed 1 hour.
