Columbia River Cairn Terrier Club invites you and your Cairn Terrier to a Cairntastic Day Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Milo McIver Park (day use space B2). Estacada, OR. 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The fun starts when you get here and lasts until you leave. Come early, stay late. Many activities throughout the day:

Game entries: $7.00 for first dog, $5 each additional dog.
Potluck with main dish provided: $3 plus your contribution of a favorite salad or dessert .
Games 10:00 AM - Noon. Racing starts after lunch. Fun all day long.

Pupalympics?

Pupalympics will consist of 5 puppy challenges and 1 puppy handler challenge. Pupalympics will be open to all puppies between 3 and 12 months of age.  (Birth dates 9/1/2006 - 6/1/2007) Each puppy challenge will simulate a performance or companion exercise that the puppy may train for in the future.  The handler event will test the puppy handler’s trivia knowledge. Entrants will be entered in a raffle and can earn extra raffle tickets along the way.

Tunnel Tot will test the skills of the future Earthdog.  Handler will have 1 minute to call their puppy through a 5 foot earthdog tunnel liner.  The puppy with the fastest time in each class will receive an extra raffle ticket.

Agil-A-Pup will test the skills of the future agility Cairn.  Handler will have 30 seconds to walk their puppy across a 5 foot dog walk 9 inches off the ground. 

Call-A-Pup will test the skills of the future obedience Cairn.  Handler will have 30 seconds to recall their puppy from 6 feet.  The handler may use a partner to assist their puppy in sit stay portion of the exercise.

Puppy Deal or No Deal will test the sniffing skills of the future drug dog.  Handler will have 1 minute to assist their puppy in sniffing out the hidden hot dog. 

Derby Pup will reveal the fastest puppy each class 3-6, 6-9, 9-12.  The fastest puppy in each class will receive an extra raffle ticket.

Canine Trivia - Each handler is given the opportunity to answer a trivia question based on simple questions that all Cairn owners should know.  Answer the question incorrectly and you’ll learn something.  Answer the question correctly and increase your chances to win the raffle prize.
