Meeting was called to order at 1234 hours at the Belden Farm.
Roll Call: Present: Brad LaBroad, Vicki Havlik, Linda Leaton, Susan McAlpin, Betsy Peets, and Tom Quarles. Guest: Marie Quarles.
Approval of minutes: the minutes of the February meeting were accepted as published.
Secretary’s Report: Peggy was absent. Past Secretary, Tom Quarles, received correspondence – the approval and permission from the CTCA to hold Sweepstakes and minutes from the General Meeting. He also received a solicitation for adverting in the directory of the Breeders Directory of the Pacific NW.
Treasurer’s Report: Ending balance of $2,711.86 with an outstanding item. Register balance of 2,641.95.
Specialty Committee: Susan has been emailing and phone calls with the TAO Show Chair, Debbie Blake. The judge’s panel must be submitted to AKC by March 15th and we still do not have a judge. The next committee meeting will be held March 30th at 2:00pm, location to be announced. This will include budget and planning.
Unfinished Business: Rescue Policy Update: Vicki passed out a Rescue Policy, Adoption Contract and Surrender form that were supplied by Barbara McNamee. Still need a reimbursement list. May 11th Board Meeting to have the final draft. Trophy base update: Vicki forgot her action item. Jane has not spoken with Allen Lundgren. Judges selection process update: Vicki, Peggy and Pat to get together at the Albany show. Put on May Board Meeting agenda.
New Business: AKC Educational requirements: Print out from the AKC Website of the Eligibility Requirements to hold future dog shows. Secretary action item – Contact AKC to find the cost to come and do seminar. Ways and Means: Betsy showed a pewter pin from England. She purchased 25 at ~$5 each to charge $10-15.
Next meeting to be at 0930 at the Highland Pub in Oregon City.
