Judges’ Dinner in January

Just a note to “save the date.” On Thursday January 17th, following the TAO group show at the Rose City Cluster, we’ll be inviting our sweepstakes judge Sharon Fitzgerald (Sherwood, Oregon) and our regular class judge Jerry Howse (Berryville, Virginia), to a no-host dinner at Elmer’s in Delta Park, at 6:00 p.m.  We’ll send a reminder/RSVP notice out to members as the date gets closer, and personally invite exhibitors who might like to join us. We will invite our judges to share their impressions and we can all enjoy an evening of camaraderie before the Rose City weekend gets crazy.

A-Match Program Complete

We’ve just received notice from the AKC that Columbia River Cairn Terrier Club has successfully completed the Plan A match program and may now apply for licensed status. Congratulations to every member for your work on these matches, and thank you to every exhibitor who helped us make these matches a success!

Our Mascot

Sa'cairn'gawea - A pun perhaps, but there is much to admire and honor about both our mascot's namesake, and our breed. Rosie, a local Cairn, strikes a pose that evokes for us the spirits of courage, adventure, and generosity.
