Eye Clinic - November 7

Dr. Paul Scherlie Jr., DVM, Diplomate ACVO will perform eye exams at the Quarles Residence, 24491 S. Larkin Road, Beavercreek, OR 97004.

Exams 10:00 - 12:00. (Remember that clocks fell back one hour overnight. Please do not arrive before 9:30 AM.)

Cost: $20 Cairn Terriers, $25 all other breeds.

Appointments will be on a more-or-less first-come, first-served basis. Please allow 15 minutes for eye dilation prior to exam.  Multiple dogs from the same home can be scheduled back-to-back to make it easier for you to get them all done at once.

Please plan to bring your Cairn Terriers (other breeds are also welcome) to our Eye Clinic.

Based on what is known from research, pet Cairn Terriers over the age of two should be checked every year for signs of ocular melanosis and for eye disease generally until they are at least 13 years old. The exams are painless and take only a few minutes. If you read the attached information we think you’ll agree that regular eye health screenings are important for our own dogs’ health and well-being, as well as for our breed’s future.

By offering these clinics we’re doing our best to make it affordable, easy, and fun to get this important screening done, for everyone from the owner of a single pet, to active breeders. We are grateful to Dr. Scherlie for his time and contribution of reduced fees to support our efforts.

See you on November 7!

Our Mascot

mascot image

Sa'cairn'gawea - A pun perhaps, but there is much to admire and honor about both our mascot's namesake, and our breed. Rosie, a local Cairn, strikes a pose that evokes for us the spirits of courage, adventure, and generosity.
